Hello everyone!
I've been doing some soul searching lately, and realized that the old me was skinny, the new me is not! And that's okay! Why should I kill myself trying to achieve, what in reality (for me), is a worldly goal?? I've been focusing way too much on what the world wants me to be, not what Heavenly Father wants me to be. I have decided therefore, to give up dieting, forever!! I had tried to do this before but, I didn't really believe myself. I wasn't willing to let go of the skinny goal. Now I am. I realize that I've had two beautiful children and my body has changed, and that's okay! Also, I have different challenges now, one of them being food! Now, I still am going to try and make healthy choices, and especially, not binge on food, but I am a work in progress, and so is overcoming that behavior. I will continue to exercise 1hr a day 5 days/week as much as I can. I will not count calories or points or anything else, because when I do that I always end up 'messing up', and totally binging because I know when I'm 'back on track' I won't be able to eat all these other foods. Now I will allow myself to eat what I want when I want, but try to truly tell if I'm hungry first, and stop when I'm not hungry anymore. I have forgotten how to listen to my body with all this dieting, and I need to relearn how to do that. I will then be able to actually listen to the Spirit and keep my appetites within the boundaries which the Lord has set. Also, I will allow myself a treat if I want one, even if I'm not hungry. All part of getting over the dieting mentality. I received a blessing this past Sunday and I know with all my heart that I am doing what will truly help me. Obviously, I'm hoping I don't gain weight, but if I do, it's okay. I will continue on my journey and exercise and stay as healthy as I can. I hope you can all appreciate that this is what's right for me. I finally feel like I'm getting my life back after years of searching in the wrong places.

Book Review
I've recently finished reading a book called EVERMORE and it's sequel BLUE MOON written by Alyson Noel. I must say that when I started I thought it was going to be a Twilight rip-off, and while there were some similarities, it was not at all in the end. There is some bad language that I really didn't enjoy, but as far as books go nowadays it's not a whole lot. It kept me turning the pages. Jacob came up to me at one point and said, "Mooooom, you've been reading ALL DAY!" I stayed up until about 1am to finish the first and 2am the next night to finish the second!
I am currently reading Slathbog's Gold by M L Forman and REALLY enjoying it! :)

I ran a 5K!
Okay, well, not really, but I ran the distance! I went to the track today and ran (jogged) 3.25 miles in 38 minutes!! That may not be great...I know it's slow...but it's great for me! Especially after not being able to exercise this week at all previous to today from an injured foot! In August I am signed up to run the Love Your Body 10K for women only and I'm very excited! I wouldn't ever want to run a marathon but much shorter distances are okay. :) I used an online pace calculator to figure out my estimated speed and it said 5.13 I think. Higher than I expected. Yay me!

Oh yeah!
So Many Pictures!
It seems like a lot has happened in a short time so I'll try and sum it up for you. We had a mother's day celebration a week late when Mike's mom was here (along with one the day of), a Memorial Day BBQ, got a new dog, and celebrated 3 birthdays with one party! It's actually my parents dog as Floyd passed away. Her name is Georgie. She is a bigger and more calm miniature pincher. So cute and so lovable! Great with the kids. She doesn't bite either! I love her to pieces!! Today we went to American Fork Canyon, about 15 minutes away to celebrate Mike's brother Adam's, dad Ray's, and sister Jenna's birthdays! It was very nice. Enjoy the pictures! I'll see if I can add the video too where Ellie is telling the water to smile for the camera!

Nights In Rodanthe
So I finally rented this movie from Redbox. It was a good chick flick but, IT WAS SO SAD! So, fair warning to all of you who read this! I'm going to watch 'House' and 'Heroes' now. No crying there! :)

What the what?
It snowed like two inches today at our house and there could be more on the way! It's April 15th for goodness sakes!
The title of this post is a line from 30 Rock said by Tina Fey.
As I have been typing this post American Idol ended and I have another comment that fits the title. I'm so sad that the judges saved Matt Giraud or whatever his name is. Nice guy, lots of talent, but shouldn't be the winner. I think he is perfect in what he was doing for a living before auditioning. Good luck Matt.

Easter Sunday (& Saturday)
So we had an Easter egg hunt this morning before church and IT WAS SO COLD!! One egg was marked with dollar signs and I told Jacob that whoever finds it first gets a dollar! He was extremely happy that he found it. Aren't my kids so cute? I treasure them so much. Happy Easter everybody! On a sidenote, in Mike's "Fact or Crap" desk calendar today it said, "Ancient Greeks buried eggs with their dead." The answer is: "FACT Both the Egyptians and Greeks buried eggs with their dead as a sign of resurrection. The egg was a symbol of nature being reborn over again.
